Team of Hoffenheim represents well, that first class teams can operate not only in capital cities. TSG is located in a village of 3000 citizens, which is mainly a suburban side of Sinsheim. The club competed in fifth and sixth level class at the beginning. But Mr. Dietmar Hopp, player of the team thought that he can help the team not only as a player but also as a businessman.

Mr. Hopp became shareholder of IBM and later he founded one the biggest software company. In the same time he invested huge amount into his loved team and built a strong reserves base, also a Stadium for 5000 people, which is now used by youth teams U 15-19 and is their high quality training centre, too. The support behind Hoffenheim helped to its own enthusiastic reserves to play in third division. They played in third league from 2001 until 2007 and strengthened the capital and infrastructure of reserves teams to build a stabile youth base.

In 2006 Mr.Hopp dreamed bigger and started to build a serious strong team. In Sinsheim he built Rhein-Neckar Arena for 30.000 visitors and he invited famous technical managers to work in Hoffenheim. Headcoach of the team Mr.Ralf Rancing, and advisor is Mr.Karl-Heinz Förster, and also works for the team sport psychologist of German National Team, Mr. Hans Dieter Hermann. Team got into Bundesleague II, and after winning its second place stepped forward to first class level.

Team Hoffenheim is a main stabile team of German Championship, biggest success of the team was the first place of Bundesleague in winter period, December of 2008. Now the captain of the team is Andreas Beck, the 25 years old defender already played for the team at 2008, and he also played more than 100 matches in Hoffenheim and probably he will be one of the legends of the club.
